Wando Chorus Auditions
When: Wednesday February 12th 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
or Thursday February 13th 4:00 pm.-6:00 p.m.

Who: Any student who wishes to enroll in Wando Chorus

Audition Process:
Students will audition individually with one of the directors. They will be asked to complete the following:
- Vocal warm-up with a Director: We will see how low and high you can sing.
- Prepared Piece: Be prepared to sing the melody of “My Country Tis of Thee” in any key without accompaniment (sheet music attached and recording below)
- Sight-Reading: Students will be asked to sight-read a four-measure melody. The melody will be simple and will only contain quarter notes and half notes.
- Tonal Memory: Students will be asked to sing back a series of 3 or 4 notes played on the piano. Students should be able to match the pitches that are played.
