Winter/Spring Auditions
When: Wed. February 11th 4:00-5:30 pm or Thurs. February 12th 4:00-5:30 pm
Where: Wando High School Chorus Room (A-115)
Who: Any student who wishes to enroll in Wando Chorus
Audition Process:
Students will audition individually with one of the directors. They will be asked to complete the following:
- Vocal warm-up with a Director: We will see how low and high you can sing.
- Prepared Piece: Be prepared to sing the melody of “My Country Tis of Thee” in any key without accompaniment.MyCountryTisoftheeSheetMusic
- Sight-Reading: Students will be asked to sight-read a four-measure melody. The melody will be simple and will only contain quarter notes and half notes.
- Tonal Memory: Students will be asked to sing back a series of 3 or 4 notes played on the piano. Students should be able to match the pitches that are played.
To enroll in Wando Chorus, students MUST attend the audition date! Make-up auditions may be scheduled with Mr. Wilkinson on a case-by-case basis.
